Two new Trucks added to fleet.

C.D. Dodd Scrap Metal Recyclers will like to introduce two new trucks to fleet a Volvo Bin Truck so we can provide a quicker service for our Morrell Bin customers and an Iveco flatbed truck so we can accommodate picking up large scrap metal items.
C.D Dodd would like to thank all of our continuing customer's for there support and hope they are having a good year to date.

New scrap metal press installed at Perth depot.

Installation has been completed of a new scrap metal press at one of our Perth depots. This unit replaces a older machine with a newer computer controlled model of larger capacity.
With this unit we hope to increase the throughput of bulky non ferrous scrap metals.

300 ton of copper purchased by C.D. Dodd

C.D. Dodd have purchased and commenced collection of over 300 ton of copper destined for an overseas smelter.
Over the forthcoming week, we will transport the copper in a stream of sea containers from the south west to Fremantle wharf using our fleet of Hammar sideloaders.

If you have not been to the new Ikea store recently opened in Perth, it is certainly worth a visit.
However, while the visitors flock through the new outlet, C.D. Dodd is busy clearing shelving and other fittings from the former site and warehouse, on Scarborough beach road.
\"It is a pleasure to be working at such an iconic institution in Perth\" said the site supervisor for C.D. Dodd. He adds, \"We are taking full care as usual to ensure items are removed in a prompt and professional manner\".

C.D. Dodd are proud to further support the Sea Shepherd Foundation. Sea Shepherd is committed to the eradication of pirate whaling, poaching, shark finning, unlawful habitat destruction, and violations of established laws in the World's oceans.
Sea Shepherd are currently involved in the anti-whaling campaign off the coast of Antarctica. When advised they required a vast quantity of computer equipment for their vessel 'Steve Irwin', C.D. Dodd stood forward and donated equipment as required.

E-Waste Committee meets in Melbourne

We are proud to once again be involved in the I.T. industry round table symposium on e-waste in Melbourne, Australia.
C.D. Dodd will be represented by Miss Tracy Webber and Mr. James Delaney who are both experts in the field of ROHS and E-Waste. "I have, everyone has a part to play when it comes to the recycling of used waste electrical equipment" said Miss Webber.

Christmas & New Year Trading Hours

Over the Christmas & New Year period, C.D. Dodd Scrap Metal Recyclers will be on reduced operations from 22nd December till the 7th of January 2008.
Whilst we will not be in full operation, bin replacement & collection services will be available upon request by calling the usual contact number.
Our salvage yard will be closed during this period and deliveries should not be made without contacting us first.

Biodiesel Conversion Now Complete

As of Wednesday 12th December, C.D. Dodd have completed the installation of a Biodiesel filling facility at our recycling complex, for use in their processing equipment and transport fleet.
"What this means for our customers is they have the piece of mind when their metal is collected to be recycled, the effect on the environment is being minimised" said Chris B. Dodd, heading up the Biodiesel conversion project.
It has been estimated by a range of sources that biodiesel reduces emissions of carbon monoxide by about 50% and carbon dioxide by 78% on a net life cycle basis.
